Over the past twenty five years, Alan Chircop conducted over thirty five international orchestras in various theatres, concert halls and festivals in twenty different countries.
 
Apart from the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, he conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall and Westminster Central Hall in London; the London Concert Orchestra at the London Coliseum – English National Opera; the Sofia Philharmonic – National Orchestra of Bulgaria; the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra and the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia; the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan; the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Macedonia; the Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra of Turkey; the State Philharmonic of Astana, the State Philharmonic of Almaty, the State Orchestra ‘Academy of Soloists’ and the Pavlodar Region State Symphony Orchestra in Kazakhstan; the State Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Kyrgyzstan; the Karelian State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tavrichesky Orchestra of Leningrad Region - St. Petersburg, the Kuban Symphony Orchestra, the  Kislovodsk - Mineralnye Vody State Symphony Orchestra, the Altai Krai State Philharomonic, the Sochi Symphony Orchestra and the Moscow Youth Symphony Orchestra in Russia; L’Orchestra Citta’ di Ravenna and L’Orchestra Sinfonica Duchi d’Acquaviva in Italy; the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra; the Leopoli State Symphony Orchestra and the Kiev Virtuosi Orchestra of Ukraine; L' Orchestre Lyrique de Région Avignon-Provence  in France; the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra in Czech Republic; the Mihail Jora Philharmonic of Bacau in Romania; the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria; the Westsächsische Philharmonie and the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Symphony Orchestra Leipzig in Germany; the Camerata con Cor(d)e of Belgium and various chamber concerts in Croatia and United Arab Emirates among others.
 
Alan Chircop’s repertoire is very wide ranging and apart from an extensive symphonic and concerto repertoire, he has directed several opera productions, contemporary music premières and other different genres.
 
In 1993 he obtained the Diplôme de Fin d’Études in Pianoforte with distinction at the Conservatoire Régional de Musique in Lyon (France). He pursued his studies at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Music Academy in Leipzig (Germany) obtaining two Masters Degrees: in Pianoforte under the tutorship of Prof. Christoph Taubert (1994-2001) and in Orchestral Direction under the tutorship of Prof. Gert Bahner (1997-2003). He also followed a one-year specialization course in Orchestral Direction with Prof. Uros Lajovic at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna (Austria).
 
Alan Chircop was the Founder and Principal of the Euro Academy of Music and Arts - Malta; Artistic Director of the Virtuoso Classics Concert Series and the Renaissance Cultural Foundation. He was also Principal of the Visual & Performing Arts Schools in Malta and Gozo, before becoming the Artistic Director of the European Foundation for Support of Culture (2014-2023), organizing various classical music festivals, international music competitions, master classes and music productions in many different countries around the world.  He is Artisitic Director of InClassica International Music Festival and often serves as a jury member of international music competitions. He was Associate Conductor of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra during the season 2021-2022.
